"Old and Broken" - 2006

I was trying to put a narrative in this drawing. This man has had a hard life and you could tell just by looking at him. I found this wonderful moment on this bowling pin that was part of the still life. The paint had chipped away to reveal the wood and it had collect dirt and grim in the exposed area. I felt it reflected the old man's life.
